One of our best traits is the tenure and lack of turnover in our staff. Unlike other corporate trustees who are often criticized for constant staff turnover, most of our team has more than 20 years of trust and wealth management expertise and has been with us for more than ten years. This includes our Senior Personal Trust Administrators, Diem Nguyen (Estate Settlements), Nancy Schoenberg (Special Needs Trusts), Michele Young (Directed, Delegated and other Irrevocable Trusts), who all have 10 years+ with Prairie Trust. In addition, our Senior Portfolio Manager, Kelly Savatski, and our Retirement Services Relationship Manager, Annette Klare, both have 30+ years with Wealth Management. With all of these years of combined experience, you can expect personnel consistency and great technical expertise when you work with us.
Our experienced and talented team has been instrumental in driving our growth, enabling us to continue expanding by bringing on even more skilled professionals. In our last newsletter, I announced the hiring of Park Drescher as director of fiduciary services.

I am now delighted to announce the hiring of Mike Swope as our director of wealth management services. Mike brings more than 20 years of investment and wealth management experience. In his new role, Mike will lead the Waukesha State Bank Wealth Management team, overseeing investment strategy, portfolio management, financial planning, private banking, retirement plan services, and brokerage offerings ( read press release). |

In addition to adding key managerial staff, I am also pleased to announce the internal promotions of Lori Hert and Matt Heiligenthal to Personal Trust Administrators, and Lauren Hanson to Senior Personal Trust Assistant (read press release). Additionally, Thom Kieffer was promoted to Senior Wealth Adviser and Mandy Lavota to Senior Private Banking Associate (read press release). Last, earlier we announced that Theresa Schultz was promoted to Vice President - Investment Services Administrator (read press release). These promotions will add capacity to allow us to continue to accept additional trust and wealth management accounts, both large and small. Because of the promotions, we are looking to add assistants to our trust and wealth management teams in the third quarter of 2025.
One position that we have had difficulty filling is an experienced Estate Settlement Administrator / Trust Counsel. We expect to re-post for this position later this year, and we are looking to hire a solution-oriented attorney with more than five years of trust and estate expertise. Please contact me if you know anyone with this expertise who might wish to join our team and exit the world of billable hours.
We appreciate your business referrals and the trust and confidence you show in recommending our services. If we can help or discuss any trust and estate or wealth management situation, please contact our Director of Fiduciary Sales, Terry Doyle, at (262) 953-2435, or our Senior Wealth Adviser, Thom Kieffer (262) 522-7409.
Very truly yours,

Waukesha State Bank Wealth Management Featured in Faces of Small Business Banking
Have you seen Milwaukee Magazine's "Faces of Small Business Banking" article? Our very own Annette Klare, Vice President – Retirement Services Relationship Manager, and Angie Simaytis, Retirement Specialist, were featured with bankers from our Commercial Banking and Payroll Complete teams. The article demonstrates how, "with seasoned bankers driven by an ongoing commitment to the local business community and backed by a full suite of banking tools, Waukesha State Bank helps small businesses foster growth and manage finances."
